Do you feel like you are doing the same activities with your kids over and over again? Perhaps you are even experiencing some sort of strange guilt for not having enough diversity in their schedules?
I started observing that I was doing pretty much the same stuff with our toddler. Going to the same playgrounds, sometimes swimming, reading books, playing with toys in her room and doing puzzles. I mean these are fine, but my list of diverse activities was pretty narrow. I was feeling like she is not experiencing enough of the world around us.
And the truth is kids learn so much faster when faced with new situations and new problems to solve. To the point where staying indoors and not doing challenging things is pretty much stealing from their development. It applies to adults as well.
Then the idea of a personalized list came to me. What if we could choose what we find cool to do and just start doing those things. It might feel hard at the beginning, but as long as it is within an affordable budget, what could actually stop us?
Well, first of all, the time we need to put together such a list. Selecting ideas, editing the final content. And boy did I come up with a long list of things to do!
So this is where my husband and I came up with a list that you can personalize yourself. This I believe will save you so much time that you can spend outside with your kids and family. A big cheer here for coding websites here, you guys, it just helps to make things so much easier for us!
Bucket list or activity list for the kids? Or for us? For summer or for spring? It doesn´t even matter how we call it, really. What is important is that you and your family do new and fun things together.
How does it work?
I have selected activities that are mostly cheap and free. But you can now add your own ideas and create a list that you can personalize for you and your kids. You will get a pdf that you can print out and stick with a magnet on the fridge and start crossing activities as you do them.
Leave us comments if you found this useful. Or if you have activities that you like doing with your kids and that are not on the list, maybe we can add them in too.
Have fun!
