Quick tips on using stock
Yeey, you went through all of them, good for you! There are though just a few things to keep in mind when choosing free stock. I have found these on my own in the many cases I worked with them and they might come in handy if you are just starting out.
1. Consistent brand look
First of all, I suggest you spend some time researching each of these above and decide on a few that are presenting imagery that goes well with your niche and style. Just like with fonts, you don’t want to have more than 3 different types on your websites, otherwise, you will lose the overall harmony of your style. Use those 3 you have decided on and keep the other ones bookmarked or saved separately. Consult this extra list if you really can’t find something specific.
2. Avoid Analysis paralysis
Secondly, you’ll see that limiting these will also save you a lot of time because you really don’t want to be stuck in a sea of websites. With so many choices, it becomes both time-consuming and paralyzing. Make sure you either limit your choice options or set a time limit for the choice. And remember, done is better than perfect.
3. Upgrade the looks with CANVA
Before Photoshop, I was an advocate for Canva for a really long time. I used it for my employer’s social media and presentation imagery all the time. This is because it is a super intuitive and cool tool to use for bloggers and social media marketing in general. They provide a lot of inspiration with modern templates and you can also get super creative on your own.

If you want to invest in a more advanced tool than Photoshop is for sure the way to go.
