In the last 2 years, I added to our library a whole new section for pregnancy, babies, parenting and such. Thinking I will be highly prepared for whatever comes, fully in control. Riiiight… Guess what? Those were just my expectations, of course. The reality is that parenting is learned through experience and no book will provide a check-list with solutions applicable in all situations.
What I do know for sure is that when faced with child-related dilemmas, as parents, we all want answers. The good part is that some specific books will help when dealing with a problem or will provide expert support in teaching your kids important things. The other great part is that you are looking for parenting books and willing to keep yourself informed and to learn new things yourself, so a big shout out to you!!
I´ve bundled together a list of books that I believe are good reads for parents and soon to be moms or dads.
So, dear parents, keep in mind that not all advice will work for your kids. Sometimes just listening or just being honest to your child will work wonders. However, if you are stuck or just want to know more about a topic, getting an expert`s perspective is much better than getting your unqualified friend’s advice or your neighbor’s “expert” opinion on complex matters.
From general parenting advice and hacks to tackling specific difficulties, this list of books will show you new ways of parenting and dealing with kids.
